A hardy, compact, slow-growing, bushy, evergreen shrub to around 100cm in height, with a mounding habit and lance-shaped, leathery, glossy dark green leaves. Pinkish-white buds open to clusters of lightly scented white flowers with a hint of pink at their centre, appearing from April to June. Ideal at the front of a border and suitable for container growing

How to grow

Cultivation

Outdoors, grow in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil in full sun, with the shelter of a warm wall. Protect from cold, drying winds. Under glass, grow in peat-free, loam-based potting compost in full light. In the growing season, water moderately and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly; water sparingly in winter
