Hakonechloa macra (Japanese forest grass)

A perennial grass producing mounds of bright green leaves topped by airy sprays of green flowers in mid- to late summer. The leaves develop red-brown tints in autumn and persist into winter.

Dahlia ‘White Perfection’

A tall, tuberous-rooted perennial to about 1.2m, with mid-green foliage. From mid-summer to the first frost bears large, white flowers up to 25cm across, with long, pointed, slightly inrolled petals.

Stipa gigantea (golden oats)

A robust, tufted evergreen grass to 2m, with arching linear green leaves. Large panicles of oat-like, airy purplish flowers, maturing to gold, appear in summer and autumn.

Thalictrum delavayi Alba

Thalictrum delavayi ‘Blizzard’ (meadow rue)

An exquisite, pure white variety of Thalictrum delavayi, more compact than the pink variety and produces clouds of small, umbrella-like flowers, with delicate ferny foliage, into late autumn.
