5 key plants in The Boodles Garden

Unusual topiary forms and swathes of colour are included in the planting inspired by famous works of art

Taxus baccata

Unusually clipped, specimen topiary forms will be planted to represent blocky, bold trees in paintings by Cezanne & Van Gogh (appropriate both for their colour & form).

Dahlia ‘Franz Kafka’

Dahlias such as D. ‘Franz Kafka’ represent pointillism and jewels for Boodles

Melica uniflora var. albida

One of several species of grass, together with pink, yellow & white umbels, will be planted in swathes to evoke impressionist brushstrokes.

Chaerophyllum hirsutum roseum

The pink flowering umbels are used to symbolise impressionist brushstrokes.

Geum ‘Totally Tangerine’

A vibrant orange highlight to the planting scheme, plus an 911±¬ÁÏ Chelsea stalwart and favourite.
