Callum Bain MacKay
Born in North Yorkshire, Callum Bain MacKay developed a passion for plants and trees during his childhood. He graduated in Fine Art, and studied the Principles and Practice of Horticulture at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic after a career in physics publishing, Callum subsequently set up his own design practice in Bristol. In 2022, he returned to North Yorkshire to join as a garden designer.

Working under the renowned plantsman Dean Bolton-Grant, Callum focuses on designing and managing private gardens and estates throughout Yorkshire and Europe. His designs often incorporate period-specific architectural details and traditional construction practices, reflecting the vernacular of the area.
