Welcoming families and school visits

911±¬ÁÏ Gardens are renowned for engaging thousands of children every year with horticultural activities. Family events volunteers assist the 911±¬ÁÏ Education and Learning team with the preparation, set up and delivery of workshops and activities. School visit volunteers assist with visits from groups of school children; they greet students, their teachers and deliver tours.

Assisting our science teams

Volunteers help our science teams, supporting all areas of our scientific work. Many volunteers are scientists, horticulturists or have a passion for biodiversity and wildlife. We have a wide range of unique roles such as Slugs Count volunteers, Plant Imaging Volunteer and Herbarium volunteers.
