About the garden
Over the past 30 years, Neil Lucas of Knoll Gardens has been expertly creating the much-acclaimed naturalistic gardens near Wimborne, Dorset. Loved by visitors and home to a myriad of wildlife, the exquisite plantings of grasses and flowering perennials thrive in our ever-changing climate.
The gardens continue to evolve with innovative projects such as the Dry Meadow and Rain Garden, as well as the replanting of the Dragon Gardens in the 鈥楶rairie鈥 style. Neil鈥檚 planting style, following the principle of 鈥榬ight plant, right place鈥, is central to the gardens鈥 ethos, and the Knoll Gardens Foundation charity works to better understand the relationship between the naturalistic planting style and its bene铿乼s to wildlife. Knoll鈥檚 Chelsea Gold Medal-winning nursery is renowned for its grasses and special selections.
