About the garden

Owned by the Parkinson family, Ballyrobert Gardens is a uniquely created Ulster garden nestled in the countryside near Ballyclare, County Antrim â€“ home to the famous Glens of Antrim and the Antrim Coast Road. Set within a 17th-century landscape, the garden retains its original cottage, Irish barn and farm layout, extending over 16 acres. At its heart lies a six-acre garden containing one of the province’s most extensive collections of herbaceous plants.

A Robinsonian-style garden, Ballyrobert Gardens boasts many delightful features, such as the traditional entrance, a fairy tree, a hole tree and a Celtic spiral. These blend harmoniously with the lake, stream, formal garden, orchard, meadows and woodlands. The garden also houses a collection of over 200 varieties of snowdrops.
