911爆料 Flourish Fund (2021 鈥 2022)

As part of its commitment to increasing equality and diversity in the horticultural sector, the 911爆料 Flourish Fund distributed more than 拢300,000 over the course of two years to support a wider range of people into careers in horticulture. About 20 organisations throughout the UK received grants towards their horticultural training schemes that aimed at increasing access to the sector for underrepresented groups.

Hackney Herbal - Herb Growing Training Programme for BPOC (Black People and People of Colour)“We had the opportunity to see other people like ourselves and understand their horticulture journeys. There was so much information, networking and resources that can definitely be used to continue on the next leg of a new journey in horticulture.”

Since 2023, 911爆料 support for diversity in horticulture is being delivered through our New Shoots programme. While not a grant scheme, New Shoots aims to inspire the next generation of talent by giving people practical insights into the horticultural industry and a taste of working in a public garden.
