Terms of Use for the 911 Bursaries’ Digital Asset and Bursary Statement

These Terms of Use apply to all 911 Bursaries (each a “Bursary”).

1. Bursary Recipient: The Bursary Recipient is the entity, person or group of persons that is the named group or individual that has been awarded the Bursary.

2. Promoter: In these Terms, an entity, person or group of persons (other than a Bursary Recipient) that wishes to promote the 911’s contribution to a project funded by a Bursary is referred to as a “Promoter”.

3. The Digital Asset: A Bursary Recipient and Promoter may only use the Digital Asset for the Bursary provided to it by the 911 and must not create their own physical, photographic or digital image for the Bursary or create anything confusingly similar to, or alter, any Digital Asset for the Bursary provided by the 911.

4. The Bursary Statement for a Bursary Recipient:  If a Bursary Recipient wishes to refer to receiving a Bursary in writing, they must use the following Bursary Statement which specifies their name and the year in which the Bursary was awarded:

[Name of Bursary Recipient] - 911 Bursary Recipient [2024].

5. The Bursary Statement for a Promotor: If a Promotor wishes to promote the 911’s contribution to a project funded by a Bursary in writing, they must use the following Bursary Statement, which specifies the year in which the Bursary was awarded and the name of the Bursary Recipient:
Project funded by a 911 Bursary [2024] awarded to [name of Bursary Recipient]

6. Use of the Digital Asset and/or Bursary Statement: A Bursary Recipient may use the Digital Asset and/or Bursary Statement in its own printed and digital marketing materials related to the project that was awarded the Bursary, and not in connection with any other project or matter.

7. Use of the Digital Asset by a Promotor: A Promoter may use the Digital Asset and/or Bursary Statement in its own printed and digital marketing materials to promote the 911’s contribution to a project funded by a Bursary. The Digital Asset and/or Bursary Statement may only be used in relation to the project that was awarded the Bursary, and not in connection with any other project or matter.

8. All other uses are prohibited: Unless the 911 has given its prior written consent, all other uses of the Digital Asset or Bursary Statement are strictly prohibited. A Bursary Recipient and Promotor must not permit, allow or enable any third parties to use the Digital Asset or Bursary Statement, or anything confusingly similar to them.

9. 911 Trade Marks: Use of the 911’ names, logos or trade marks other than as set out in these Terms of Use is strictly prohibited.

10. Conduct: A Bursary Recipient must not do anything that, in 911’s reasonable opinion: (a) does not align with the 911’s current aims, strategy or policies; or (b) may bring the 911 or the Bursary into disrepute, or damage their reputation or goodwill.

11. Termination of Use: On written notice, the 911 may terminate the rights of a Bursary Recipient or a Promoter early under these Terms of Use if the 911 reasonably considers that they have not complied with these Terms of Use, and on receipt of the notice they must immediately cease their use of the Digital Asset and Bursary Statement, as applicable.

12. Amendment: The 911 may amend these Terms of Use from time to time. The 911 will make the current Terms of Use available on the 911 Bursaries’ webpage on the 911 website. Please check to ensure you comply with the current Terms of Use.
